Summary : works fine, except...
The manual for the base states you have to put the batteries in it first, and the manual for the extra remote I bought separately states the opposite. When I called for assistance, a message said the would call me back. They did, 2 or 3 weeks later.

Summary : Love it! Great for taking the dogs out!!
I love all of the features on this item. What I especially love is seeing the temperature on the ceiling when I wake up and turning and seeing the weather conditions on how the "weather man" is dressed. These two items are very helpful in knowing how to prepare when taking the dogs out first thing in the morning! I love that the snooze can be changed in five minute increments from five to thirty minutes. Brightness can be controlled. Formats of dates and times can be changed. Overhead projection can show time and/or temp in E/M. Automatic DST adjustment On/Off. 12/24 time. Position of overhead projection can be rotated each of four directions and moved along a slide rail for overhead placement wherever you could want it. La Crosse makes clocks with more weather features but if you are just looking for basic "I want to know what's going on outside while I'm getting ready to be outside" info this is probably what you want. Two alarms come in very handy.

Summary : it is not perfect, but I do not think there is anything better on the market
It does what it is supposed to do. Accurately displays temperature and humidity inside and outside. The biggest problem is that you can not make it permanently lit so you could see the clock in the darkness. Yes it has projector, but it only works when it is totally dark.
Other then that this clock is great.

Summary : How cool is this?
I was a little concerned the projected image would be too bright or too dim. Or, I would not be able to see it because I wear glass and neither is the case.
This thing is awesome. Everything you want it to do it does but then there's the "cool" factor..
To be able to open my eyes at night and just look up and see the temperature and time is simply just cool.
You'll love it.

Summary : Really cool
We had a weather station, but the outside monitor died. We put this up it worked almost instantly, and my husband came up with the bright idea to try the old one in the basement. It worked also!
So now, I know it's 15 outside, no matter where I am inside!
Really, it's very cool, my grandkids want to try using a hair dryer on the monitor to see if the kid will change to shorts. I hid the hair dryer.
