Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-04 Summary : cd clock radio Absolutely love the Sony AM/FM Stereo CD Clock Radio. It is so easy to use. There is a button for every task. Love going to sleep to my favorite CD's.
Definitely was a great buy and would recommend it to anyone.
Date : 2010-03-03 Summary : Great alarm clock There are 2 features on this item I wouldn't trade for anything - the nap feature and the gradual volume alarm. I use the nap feature for naps and to help me watch my time (I get sidetracked easily). I hate being woke up with a jolt from a loud alarm. This alarm starts with a little chirp and gradually gets louder. Very happy with my purchase.
Date : 2010-02-27 Summary : I never had a chance When I got this Sony home, I hooked it up and was quite pleased not only with the sound but its looks and the fact that it was easier to use than other models. And the footprint on my nightstand was not as big as I thought it would be. The CD player was very good, in fact, comparable to the 10-year-old Sharper Image clock radio that is dying on me now due to a power outage.
However, I left the bedroom for 5 minutes and when I returned, my cat had chewed through 90% of the wire that plugs into the wall (never mind the fm antenna). The machine, of course, was dead. Sony, if you are listening, the POWER CORD must be much THICKER or an otherwise very good product like the ICF-CD7000 will wind up in the garbage. I can't be the only consumer that this has happened to; owning a chew-happy pet is a consideration with any electonics purchase.
It's a shame because, for the price, it's Sony's only clock radio of any quality.
Date : 2010-01-10 Summary : Love this clock radio Love the clock radio, it is a bit pricey. The features are great: good sound, digital tuning with pre-set stations, dual alarms, and automatic time stetting plus back up battery. This little machine has it all. Size advertised is not correct. It is much smaller: 6.75x9x5 inches and fits nicely on any night stand.Sony ICF-CD7000BLK AM/FM Stereo CD Clock Radio
Date : 2010-01-08 Summary : Very good clock radio, but it is somewhat difficult to operate.
While it is the best clock radio I have used in terms of sound, features, etc; this comes at the price of ease of operation. The radio has many functions, and many buttons all over it to control those functions.
If you are looking for a *simple* clock radio with a few extra features such as decent sound, this may not be your best choice. I love it, but it is not for everyone.
